The Ethylene Plant of Jilin Petrochemical is Scheduled to be Completed and Put into Operation in 2025

Recently, the refining and chemical transformation and upgrading project of PetroChina Jilin Petrochemical Company has fully resumed work, steadily promoting the construction progress, and is planned to be completed and put into operation this year.
After the completion and operation of the Jilin Petrochemical transformation and upgrading project, it will effectively promote the "intelligent transformation and digital upgrading" of local traditional industries, accelerate the development of a 100-billion-yuan chemical industry, and provide strong support for the high-quality development of the region.
The total investment of the Jilin Petrochemical transformation and upgrading project is 33.9 billion yuan. A total of 21 refining and chemical plants will be newly built, 7 plants will be renovated, and 7 plants such as a 150,000-ton ethylene plant will be shut down. It is divided into three regions: east, middle, and west, including the new construction (reconstruction and expansion) of a 2.2-million-ton/year wax oil hydrocracking unit, a 1.2-million-ton/year ethylene unit, a 400,000-ton/year high-density polyethylene unit, a 400,000-ton/year EVA unit and other advanced units. Among them, the core part of the project is the 1.2-million-ton ethylene project, which will reach a construction climax this year, and the production capacity will be gradually formed in batches, with full production in 2025.
