The Light Hydrocarbon Deep Processing Project in Gansu Province Commences Construction

On March 3, 2025, the 500,000-ton-per-year light hydrocarbon deep processing project of Tongxin in Qingyang, Gansu Province started construction.
The main content of the project: Using liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and mixed hydrocarbons as raw materials to produce chemical products such as propylene, 1,4-butanediol (BDO), and tetrahydrofuran. The project is located in Xifeng Industrial Park, Qingyang, Gansu Province.
It is understood that the project uses the liquefied petroleum gas and mixed hydrocarbons from the Changqing Oilfield and the refining and chemical enterprises around Qingyang as raw materials to develop the C3 and C4 industrial chains, mainly producing products such as propylene, 1,4-butanediol (BDO), tetrahydrofuran, and methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE).
