Huayi Group¡äs 800,000 Tons/Year Acetic Acid Project About to be Launched

At the end of February 2025, as the various units of the Caojing Synthetic Gas Project entered the countdown for intermediate handover, the acetic acid unit as the first one to complete the main construction immediately entered the production preparation sprint stage after the Spring Festival. At the installation site, hundreds of construction workers and acetic acid production preparation personnel carried out a final sprint around key links such as pipeline blowing, airtightness testing, instrument marking, and pump testing, with the goal of "zero hidden dangers and zero defects", to ensure the successful start-up of the device in one go.
In recent days, the Caojing Acetic Acid Project has entered the stage of dynamic equipment testing. Vertical centrifugal pumps, horizontal multi-stage pumps and diaphragm pumps among other equipment are subjected to a 2-hour load test in an orderly manner; More than 10 indicators, including bearing temperature, vibration amplitude, and current, have been included in the monitoring scope. At the acetic acid plant, production preparation personnel hold vibration meters and thermometers according to regulations, carefully observe the operation status of the pumps, record data, without missing any abnormalities.
According to the Group requirements, the Huayi synthesis gas supply and supporting projects will be delivered in two installments. The first delivery includes the main transformer, acetic acid, plant front area, regional transformer, air separation transformer and circulating water, scheduled to be completed by late February. The second delivery includes POX, air separation, synthetic ammonia and public auxiliary engineering POX section. Currently, the "three checks and four determinations" have been completed, scheduled to be delivered by late March.
Under the Huayi Synthetic Gas Supply and Supporting Project, a new set of 800,000 tons/year acetic acid plant and 300,000 tons/year synthetic ammonia plant will be built, supplying 80,000 COH2 m3/h to the chemical industry area. The construction includes air separation, POX unit, MDEA purification, membrane separation and PSA, CO cold box, synthetic ammonia and acetic acid unit.
