Recently, information released on the Ningxia Government Service Network shows that the enterprise investment (domestic investment) project filing of the expansion project of the demonstration of solar electrolysis hydrogen production, energy storage and application of Ningxia Baofeng Energy Group Co., Ltd. has been approved.

The project mainly involves the construction of an electrolytic water hydrogen production device and a 110kV substation and distribution station, and the supporting construction of public auxiliary and environmental protection facilities. The product scale of the project is an annual output of 640 million standard cubic meters of hydrogen and an annual by-production of 320 million standard cubic meters of oxygen. The electricity used in the project comes from the upstream supporting self-built 2GWp photovoltaic power generation project.

After the project is put into operation, among the hydrogen used in the existing coal-to-methanol synthesis device, 136,669.4 m³/h comes from the coal gasification device, 10,000 m³/h comes from the first-phase electrolytic water hydrogen production device, and the remaining 80,000 m³/h of hydrogen comes from the electrolytic water hydrogen production device of this project.
