On March 13th, a symposium on the early warning of production capacity in the petroleum and chemical industry was held in Beijing. Representatives from associations such as the chlor-alkali, nitrogen fertilizers, phosphate compound fertilizers, inorganic salts, pesticides, soda ash, rubber, synthetic resin, synthetic rubber, coatings, Polyurethane and fluorosilicon attended the meeting. Zheng Jiebin, the Deputy Secretary-General of CCAIA participated in the meeting. Sun Weishan, the Vice President of the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation, introduced the background and significance of the early warning work on the production capacity of the petrochemical and chemical industry. Cai Enming, the Director of the Industrial Development Department of the Federation, presented the preliminary plan for the early warning work on the production capacity of the petrochemical and chemical industry. Each participating professional association respectively introduced the suggestions for the early warning work on the production capacity of their respective industries and the list of products. In the meeting summary, Vice President Sun Weishan emphasized the importance of carrying out the early warning work on the industry′s production capacity and hoped that each professional association would cooperate well with the subsequent relevant work of the production capacity early warning working group.
