The High-performance Organic Fluorine Materials of China Bluestar Chengrand were Put into Production

Recently, the main unit of the 26,000-ton-per-year high-performance organic fluorine materials project of China Bluestar Chengrand was completed and put into production in the Chemical Park of Sichuan South New Materials in Zigong, Sichuan Province, and qualified products were produced.
The project started construction in April 2022. Facing challenges such as complex process flows, numerous single units, and high construction difficulty, the company took more than 30 months to complete the construction of core units including tetrafluoroethylene monomer and polytetrafluoroethylene, as well as supporting projects successively. The project was completed and handed over by the end of 2024 and entered the trial production stage, and finally the project was successfully launched.
It is reported that this project adopts more than 60 core patented technologies independently developed by the company, and can produce high-performance organic fluorine materials such as polytetrafluoroethylene dispersion resin, perfluoroethylene propylene resin, and meltable polytetrafluoroethylene resin. After the project is completed, the products will be applied in fields such as high-end equipment, new energy vehicles, energy conservation and environmental protection.
The successful production of the project will further optimize the product structure of organic fluorine products of the company, expand production capacity, and promote the seamless connection between the innovation chain and the industrial chain. In addition, the project will form a synergistic effect with related projects within the park, helping the park to build a 100-billion-yuan advanced materials industrial cluster and driving the coordinated development of industries such as fluorine chemicals, fluorine-containing fine chemicals, and environmental protection.
