Recently, Zhongtai New Materials held a commissioning ceremony for its 1 million tons/year methanol project, marking the official entry of this key chemical project in the autonomous region into the trial operation phase. 

The 1 million tons/year methanol project began construction in 2023. As the first fully domestically produced million-ton-level methanol plant in China, it achieves 100% localization of core process packages and key equipment. With "Smart Manufacturing in China" as its core, the project ensures that the comprehensive energy consumption of methanol is better than the national advanced standard. It can fully recycle chemical heat energy and achieve zero wastewater discharge, creating a "Zhongtai model" for the green and low-carbon transformation of the coal chemical industry in the Turpan region. 

According to reporters, this project is the first modern coal chemical project of Xinjiang Zhongtai and also the core project for Xinjiang Zhongtai to deepen industrial chain upgrading in the local area. The project covers an area of 1,350 mu, with an annual output of 1 million tons of methanol, and can solve about 1,000 jobs. During the project construction, 15,000 builders overcame harsh weather conditions such as severe cold, high heat, and strong winds, successfully completing the construction of this high-quality, high-standard, safe, and reliable modern intelligent factory. 

In the next step, Zhongtai New Materials will adhere to the principle of "safety first," take the "quality management first year" as the starting point, deeply promote refined management, strengthen safe production and operation, and ensure the long-term stable operation of the plant.
