BASF-YPC¡®s 800,000 Tons of Ethylene-integrated Project Launched

Recently, Henghe (Nanjing) Materials & Science Technology held a groundbreaking event for its new 150,000 tons/year high-end sanitary material project at the New Materials Science and Technology Park.
Henghe (Nanjing) Materials & Science Technology is a subsidiary of Henghe Industrial Group, with an annual revenue of 1.6 billion yuan, and is one of the top 100 manufacturing enterprises in Nanjing. As a key supporting and connecting enterprise for BASF¡äs 800,000 tons/year ethylene plant, the company specializes in the comprehensive utilization of C5 resources. The company¡äs products, such as isoprene, isopentadiene, dicyclopentadiene, and C5 petroleum resin, are important chemical raw materials that have obtained EU REACH certification and are exported overseas. The company has established close cooperative relationships with multinational companies such as Ineos from Belgium, Poling from Italy, ExxonMobil from the United States, and Kraton.
Henghe (Nanjing) Materials & Science Technology will invest 1 billion yuan to build a 150£¬000 ton/year high-end sanitary material project and expand the existing C5 fine separation unit. The project will use cracked C5 and DCPD as raw materials to produce high-end sanitary material products with high added value and strong competitiveness. It is planned to be delivered in December 2026. After the project is put into operation, the company¡¯s annual revenue will reach 4.5 billion yuan, further strengthening the advantages of the petrochemical industry chain in the New Materials Science and Technology Park.

Construction content: In the factory area of Henghe (Nanjing) Materials & Science Technology, as the company takes existing equipment, public works and auxiliary facilities, a new DCPD copolymer hydrogenation resin unit and a new C5/C9 modified resin unit will be built on the existing reserved land while dismantling the first phase of the original carbon five treatment plant and rebuilding it into a resin granulation molding plant and its integrated resin warehouse and other auxiliary facilities. Expand the coarse separation production unit (with the same capacity as the fine separation production unit) within the existing carbon five separation plant. After completion, the processing capacity of the carbon five separation plant will increase from 150,000 tons/year to 250,000 tons/year. Expand the production unit of polyaluminum chloride within the existing resin plant (other production units and capacity remain unchanged), and increase the output of polyaluminum chloride from 3835.3 tons/year to 10,000 tons/year. Support the renovation of the ground torch system and RTO unit, the renovation of the transformer and distribution room and on-site cabinet room, renovation of the loading and unloading station, the expansion and renovation of the 2 # circulating water device, the renovation of the factory entrance and exit, the construction of a new thermal oil medium process heating furnace and the construction of a new general solid waste warehouse while building related public works and auxiliary facilities at the same time. After completion, this project can produce 100,100 tons/year of high-end sanitary materials (DCPD hydrogenated resin) and 50,000 tons/year of C5/C9 modified petroleum resin. The total construction area of this project is about 6135 square meters (including 400 square meters of renovation), and the total land area is about 8002.5 square meters.
