Recently, the central control room of the Juzhengyuan (Jieyang) New Materials Acetic Acid Project – the world′s largest single-unit acetic acid production project by China National Chemical Engineering Tianchen Corporation and the 16th Engineering Company Consortium – was handed over in mid-construction, becoming the first key single project to complete mid-construction handover. The project has fully entered the commissioning and finalization phase. 

As the "smart brain" of the entire project, the central control room has a total construction area of approximately 2,000 square meters. It undertakes core functions such as process control, safety monitoring, and production scheduling and command for the entire plant. Pile foundation construction began in January 2024, the main structure was capped in June of the same year, and mid-construction handover was successfully completed in April 2025. 

The Juzhengyuan (Jieyang) New Materials Acetic Acid Project is a key project of Guangdong Province. It mainly involves the construction of a 1.5 million tons/year acetic acid plant, a CO cryogenic separation and compression plant, and supporting utility engineering and auxiliary facilities. Upon completion and commissioning, it will fill the gap in acetic acid production capacity in Guangdong Province.
