From May 13th to 22nd, CCAIA led a delegation to Europe for inspection and the 12th International Chlor Alkali Technology Conference hosted by the EuroChlor and the VinylPlus Sustainability Forum 2025 hosted by the ECVM. The inspection team includes eight companies including Xinjiang Zhongtai, Xinfa Group, Hubei Yihua, Dadi Salt Chemical, Yibin Tianyuan, Befar Group, Wuxi Xunjie, and Jiangsu Ancan Technology. Zhang Peichao, Vice President and Secretary General of the CCAIA, participated in the inspection. The inspection team attended the 12th International Chlor Alkali Technology Conference held in Barcelona, Spain, with more than 300 representatives from various countries attending. At the conference, participants exchanged idears on topics such as carbon reduction paths, hydrogen energy, latest technological equipment, and green, safe, and sustainable development in the chlor alkali industry. Secretary General Zhang Peichao gave a keynote speech on the analysis of sustainable development in China′s chlor alkali industry and responded to questions raised by the audience. During the conference period, the inspection team had a discussion with the EuroChlor to exchange information on the development of the chlor alkali industry in China and Europe, and reached a consensus to further strengthen cooperation in the future. The delegation held discussions and in-depth exchanges respectively with Lanxess in its headquarter in Cologne, Germany, Clariant in its headquarter in Munich, Company, as well as Descote in its headquarter in Lyon, France through visits and inspections. The inspection team attended the VinylPlus Sustainability Forum 2025 held in Paris, France, with over 160 representatives from various countries attending. The conference topics covered PVC recycling, carbon reduction and plastic additives among other things. During the conference, the inspection team had discussions with the ECVM and the ASEAN Vinyl Association, exchanged information on the development of the PVC industry in China, Europe, and ASEAN, and conducted in-depth discussions on plastic recycling, reaching a consensus to further reinforce collaboration in the future.
