Green Hydrogen-Coupled Resource Clean Utilization Low-Carbon Project Commenced

On May 25, the groundbreaking ceremony for the Xinjiang Haoyuan Photoelectric Hydrogen Production Coupled with Resource Clean Utilization Low-Carbon Integration Project, undertaken by the Xinjiang Command of Sinochem 16th Construction Co., Ltd. as the general contractor, was held. As the first project with an investment exceeding 10 billion yuan introduced by Jimusaer County, it marks a key step in the integrated development of clean energy and chemical industries in the region.
The project is constructed in three phases, with Phase I and II starting simultaneously.
Phase I includes coal gasification units, gas purification units, a 400,000-ton/year ammonia synthesis plant, a 500,000-ton/year urea (intermediate product) plant, a 500,000-ton/year high-nitrogen water-soluble compound fertilizer plant, a 200,000-ton/year diesel exhaust cleaner plant, a 120,000-ton/year melamine plant, a 100,000-ton/year food-grade CO₂ plant, a 20,000-ton/year water electrolysis hydrogen production plant, and supporting auxiliary facilities.
Phase II includes coal gasification units, a 400,000-ton/year ammonia synthesis plant, a 500,000-ton/year urea (intermediate product) plant, a 500,000-ton/year high-nitrogen water-soluble compound fertilizer plant, a 200,000-ton/year diesel exhaust cleaner plant, a 120,000-ton/year melamine plant, a 100,000-ton/year food-grade CO₂ plant, and supporting auxiliary facilities.
Phase III includes a 100,000-ton/year green methanol plant and a 20,000-ton/year water electrolysis hydrogen production plant.
Upon completion, the project will not only boost the industrial economy of Jimusaer County by enhancing energy efficiency but also drive employment growth and industrial upgrading, helping transform local resource advantages into new momentum for sustainable development.
