Huayang Group¡äs 394, 000 ton Electrolytic Aluminum Project Feasibility Study Passed
2025-6-19
On June 17th, the feasibility study report demonstration meeting for Huayang Group¡äs 394,000 ton/year electrolytic aluminum project (294,000 tons/year in Phase I) was held in Taiyuan, Shanxi Province. Experts and scholars from the industry set up an expert group and agreed that the project passed the feasibility report review after in-depth research and sufficient argumentation.
In March 2025, China issued the "Implementation Plan for High Quality Development of Aluminum Industry (2025-2027)", proposing to promote the increase of domestic resource reserves and production, advance the coordinated development of upstream and downstream industries and build a high-end, intelligent, and green aluminum industry development system. Huayang Group is fully committed to promoting electrolytic aluminum projects in accordance with the development layout of Shanxi Province¡äs aluminum industry. The project is located in Xiyan Circular Economy Industrial Park, Yuxian County, Yangquan City, with a planned capacity of 394,000 tons per year. It will be developed in two phases, with the first phase starting with 294,000 tons per year. The core equipment of the electrolytic cell adopts the advanced 600 kA cell type, which has the advantages of large capacity, high efficiency, environmental protection and energy saving. After the project is put into operation, it will form an industrial cluster with bauxite, alumina, carbon anode, recycled aluminum and aluminum deep processing, boosting the revitalization and high-quality development of Huayang Group¡äs aluminum industry and accelerating the integrated development of Yangquan City¡äs aluminum industry chain.
