China Salt Chemical Acquired the Natural Alkali Mining Rights in Tongliao, Inner Mongolia

The Department of Natural Resources of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region announced that on June 16th, after 125 rounds of bidding, the natural alkali mining rights in Daqintala area, Naiman Banner, Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region were listed and sold for 6.80866 billion yuan.
According to the announcement made by China Salt Chemical on the evening of June 19th, China Salt Alkali Industry participated in the bidding for the natural alkali mining right and received the "Transaction Confirmation Letter" from Tongliao Natural Resources Bureau on June 17th. At present, it is still in the public announcement period. After there are no objections during the public announcement period of the transfer results, the "Mining Right Transfer Contract" will be signed with the transferor within 20 working days, and the mining right will be confirmed after the transfer transaction price is paid according to regulations.
China Salt Chemical and the Taihu Lake Investment jointly funded the establishment of China Salt Alkali Industry with the purpose of obtaining the mining right of natural alkali in Tongliao, Inner Mongolia, of which the Taihu Lake Investment accounts for 51% and China Salt Chemical holds a 49% stake. It is proposed by the Taihu Lake Investment to withdraw all its equity and related rights and interests in China Salt Alkali Industry through capital reduction. After the capital reduction, China Salt Chemical will hold 100% equity of China Salt Alkali Industry, and subsequent investments related to natural alkali resources will be completed by China Salt Alkali Industry.
China Salt Chemical has a production capacity of 3.9 million tons of soda ash, making it the third largest soda ash manufacturer in China. As the company¡äs soda ash product structure can be effectively optimized by developing the natural alkali industry, it will take solid steps towards the "natural alkali method" while strengthening the "ammonia alkali method" and "combined alkali method" processes in the soda ash industry.
The 28.85 square kilometer area sold this time has discovered natural alkali mines, which are currently the largest alkali mines in Inner Mongolia with mineral reserves of 1.447 billion tons (521 million tons of resources with salt content ¡Ü 9.54%, and 926 million tons of associated natural alkali minerals). This sale will lay a solid foundation for building a natural alkali industry cluster worth billions of yuan.
