Recently, the launch ceremony of the Zhangjiakou Green Methanol Project in Hebei was grandly held in Zhangjiakou. Leading domestic and foreign industry institutions participated in the event, marking a key step for the new energy industry in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region under the "dual carbon" strategy.

Against the backdrop of the accelerated global energy transition and the in-depth advancement of China′s "dual carbon" strategy, Zhangjiakou—designated as a national-level renewable energy demonstration zone—has emerged as a vanguard in the zero-carbon fuel sector, particularly for green hydrogen and green methanol.

Industry experts have pointed out that the implementation of this project will drive Zhangjiakou′s transformation from a traditional energy base to a highland of green energy innovation, inject green momentum into the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, and set a benchmark for China′s new energy industry in international cooperation. As the project advances, it is expected to drive the upgrading of upstream and downstream industries such as hydrogen energy equipment manufacturing and green chemicals, providing solid support for achieving the "dual carbon" goals. The deep collaboration in the industry will offer the world a "Chinese solution" for the large-scale application of green fuels.
