China Power Construction’s New Energy Phase II Hydrogen Production Project in Zaoyang Approved

On July 17th, China Power Construction New Energy Hydrogen and Oxygen Production Project (Phase II) in Zaoyang was approved.
The second phase project is designed to expand the 2000 Nm ³/h ALK alkaline water electrolysis hydrogen production system within the scope of the New Energy Hydrogen and Oxygen Production Project of China Power Construction in Zaoyang.
The first phase of the 200MW photovoltaic power generation project in Zaoyang, Xiangyang City, Hubei Province, China, under the integrated development model of photovoltaic and electrolytic water hydrogen production, will develop a 4200Nm3/h electrolytic water hydrogen production project, including 4 sets of 1000 standard cubic meters alkaline and 1 set of 200 standard cubic meters PEM. The EPC general contractor of Hubei Electric Power Planning and Design Institute Co., Ltd. tendered 5 sets of electrolytic cells in June 2025, with the bidding results yet to be released.
