Industrial Salt Successfully Produced through Ningxia Younglight Chemicals ¡äs Zero Discharge Sewage Technology Renovation

2025-7-30

Recently, the Younglight Chemical¡¯s Zero Discharge Wastewater Technical Renovation Project successfully produced industrial salt sodium chloride, marking the official completion of the core link of the project and taking a solid step towards achieving the goal of "zero wastewater discharge and resource reuse".

The total investment of Younglight Chemical¡äs zero discharge sewage technical renovation project is 153 million yuan, mainly divided into inorganic wastewater treatment system, organic wastewater treatment system, evaporation crystallization system and mercury containing wastewater treatment system. A dual guarantee system consisting of a 4200 cubic meter emergency rainwater tank and a 5000 cubic meter wastewater temporary storage tank will be developed in an integrated manner. After the project was completed and put into trial operation, it went through system debugging, hazard elimination, process optimization and other links, and the evaporation crystallization system successfully produced industrial salt sodium chloride.

In terms of project process design, Younglight Chemical has innovatively built a complete wastewater deep treatment and resource recovery chain. After the sodium chloride concentrated salt water and sodium sulfate concentrated salt water generated by the inorganic wastewater treatment system enter the evaporation crystallization system respectively, the recovered salt is produced through the "forced circulation evaporation crystallization" technology. The "forced circulation evaporation crystallization" technology significantly reduces system energy consumption and achieves resource utilization by efficiently recovering and utilizing secondary steam heat energy. The entire system configuration of the project includes 311 sets of domestically produced equipment, among which the key chips of the DCS control system are 100% domestically produced, building an intelligent water management system.

After the project is officially put into operation, it is expected to save over one million cubic meters of water annually, save up to 850000 kilowatt hours of electricity and reduce product water consumption by 23%. Through resource utilization, 3320 tons of industrial salts such as sodium chloride and sodium sulfate can be recycled annually while reducing CO2 emissions by 210 tons. This not only helps the company significantly reduce water costs but also lowers production costs, bringing huge ecological benefits.

At present, Younglight Chemical recycles the produced sodium chloride into the electrolysis unit of the chemical production line as raw material, laying a solid foundation for the company to reduce costs, increase efficiency, and promote green, low-carbon, circular, and high-quality development.
