On August 6th, Zhanjiang Economic and Technological Development Zone released the first public notice on environmental impact assessment for public participation regarding Guangdong Energy Group¡äs Biomass Conversion and Synthetic Green Methanol Integration Demonstration Project.
Overview of the construction project is as follows:
Project Name: Guangdong Energy Group¡äs Biomass Conversion and Synthetic Green Methanol Integration Demonstration Project
Project Nature: New construction
Project Location: Plot 6 of Donghai Island Petrochemical Industrial Park, Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province
Construction Content: The project plans to use biomass pellets as raw materials to produce green methanol through processes such as biomass gasification, deamination, sulfur-tolerant shift reaction, and acid gas removal. It will have an annual output of 100,000 tons of green methanol, along with by-products including 888 tons of fusel oil, 5,040 tons of tar, 318 tons of sulfur, 1,760 tons of ammonia water, and 253,000 tons of industrial carbon dioxide.
