As one of the downstream supporting projects of the Henan Refining and Chemical Million-ton Ethylene Project, the first phase of the Jiuyuan New Material Ethylene Integration Project has recently achieved full process integration, marking the official entry of the project into the production stage.

This project is totally invested at 1.6 billion yuan, levering the by-product resources of the million-ton ethylene project, focusing on high value-added products such as high-end rubber anti-aging agents, high-end carbon materials, petroleum resins and hydrogenated resins for chain extension, supplementation and strengthening. The project is divided into two phases, with the first phase starting in July 2023. Three core units, MIBK, RT, and 6PPD, will be built. After two years of construction, optimization and commissioning, the project has achieved a deep integration of automation control and energy conservation and environmental protection.

The second phase of the project is currently undergoing device design and is expected to be completed by 2027. It will produce coated asphalt, hydrogenated resin, intermediate phase asphalt, etc., which will be applied in the production of lithium battery negative electrode materials, high-end adhesives, carbon fibers, etc. After the project is fully completed, the annual sales revenue is expected to reach 1.69 billion yuan.
