Latest Progress of Rongxin Chemical¡äs 800,000 ton Olefin Project

On August 31st, Rongxin Chemical held a meeting to promote the 800,000 ton olefin project, mobilizing all participating parties to anchor the goal of "producing products by the end of 2026" and fully promote the high standard and high-quality construction of the project.
Yang Guizhou, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman, General Manager, and Director of the Olefin Project Preparation Department of Rongxin Chemical, attended and delivered a speech.
At the meeting, five participating units including Shandong Energy Group Construction Group and Hualu Engineering and Technology reported their work progress, problems and future plans.

The leaders of the olefin project preparation department arranged and deployed the work in their respective areas, and the heads of various departments, supervision units, safety consulting companies, and quality supervision stations of the preparation department commented on the work of the participating units.
The annual production of 800,000 tons of olefins project of Inner Mongolia Rongxin Chemical has a total investment of 9.83 billion yuan, mainly including the construction of 800,000 t/a methanol to olefin unit, 400,000 t/a polyethylene unit, 400,000 t/a polypropylene unit, 15,000 t/a 1-butene unit and supporting public and auxiliary facilities.
The project takes methanol as raw material and adopts the industry-leading DMTO third-generation technology from Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, which significantly improves the conversion rate of raw materials and reduces the consumption of methanol per ton of olefin to 2.66 t/t. It significantly decreases the production cost per unit product and enhances market competitiveness. Besides, the slurry process is used to produce high-density polyethylene, and the new generation of ring pipe technology is used to produce polypropylene, laying a solid foundation for high-end, diversified and low-carbon development.
