On August 22nd, the transportation task of the first ethylene quench oil tower equipment for the CNOOC and Shell Petrochemicals’ Huizhou Phase III ethylene project was successfully completed.
The CNOOC and Shell Petrochemicals’ Huizhou Phase III Ethylene Project is totally invested at about 52.1 billion yuan, with a core of 1.6 million tons/year ethylene cracking unit. It will develop 18 sets of chemical plants, public works and integrated facilities.
The specific facilities include a 1.6 million ton/year ethylene plant, a 305,000 ton/year butadiene extraction plant, a 1.46 million ton/year pyrolysis gasoline hydrogenation plant, a 1.1 million ton/year aromatics extraction plant, a 645,000 ton/year ethylene oxide ethylene glycol (EO-EG) plant, a 600,000 ton/year metallocene linear low-density polyethylene (mLLDPE) plant, a 400,000 ton/year linear alpha olefin (LAO) plant, a 130,000 ton/year isomerization and disproportionation (ID) plant, a 130,000 ton/year Shell hydroformylation (SHF) plant, a 50,000 ton/year poly alpha olefin (PAO) plant, a 500,000 ton/year polypropylene (PP) plant, a 1 million ton/year ethylbenzene (EB) plant, and an 875,000/400,000 ton/year styrene epichlorohydrin plant. SM-PO plant, 450,000 tons/year polyether polyol (DMC-POD) plant, 100,000 tons/year polymer polyol (POP-POD) plant, 270,000/80,000 tons/year MTBE plant/ Butene-1 plant, along with supporting storage and transportation engineering, utilities, auxiliary engineering and environmental protection engineering facilities.
