                Recently, Huntsman Tioxide announced that its Asia plant will suspend production in light of the current business environment. The announcement stated that this decision was made after careful consideration of the current business environment and its impact on the company¡äs operations. All ongoing and upcoming contracts, purchase orders, projects, deliveries, and services will be suspended until further notice. In view of this, the company has requested customers to cease any further work, supply, or delivery related to the company. It also indicated that it will provide customers with more updates in the coming weeks.
Huntsman Tioxide¡äs Asia plant is located in Teluk Kalung, Malaysia, with a titanium dioxide production capacity of 60,000 tonnes per year. Originally a subsidiary of Huntsman Corporation, Huntsman Tioxide mainly engages in the former Huntsman¡äs titanium dioxide and performance additives businesses. In recent years, Huntsman Tioxide has encountered significant twists and turns in its business development. Currently, the company is in the process of selling three companies it operates in the United Kingdom, and this sale will involve 520 employees of the company in the northeastern part of the UK.
