Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Ministry of Water Resources jointly issued the "National Directory of Industrial Water-Saving Technologies, Techniques and Equipment (2025 Edition)."
The 2025 edition of the catalog is categorized by the developmental stage of processes, technologies, and equipment, primarily divided into three types: R&D, industrial demonstration and application promotion. It encompasses 150 items of water-saving processes, technologies, and equipment, covering common general technologies and 13 industrial sectors such as steel, petrochemicals, and textile printing and dyeing.
Seventeen processes, technologies, and equipment in the petrochemical and chemical industry have been included in the catalog, namely: oilfield development drilling and testing wastewater treatment and resource utilization technology, offshore fracturing and water-saving pressure drive technology, modified plastic dry vacuum water-saving, pollution reduction, and carbon emission reduction synergistic treatment equipment, gas production incremental water treatment and reuse technology, low-emission chlorinated-based titanium dioxide production facility, titanium dioxide acidic wastewater treatment and recycling equipment, titanium dioxide wastewater multistage adsorption and desalination regeneration reuse technology, all-high-titanium slag titanium dioxide production washing process, chlor-alkali chemical saline wastewater zero discharge technology, deep treatment and reuse of refining wastewater, comprehensive saline wastewater zero discharge and resource utilization package technology for coal chemical industry, comprehensive wastewater treatment and reuse technology for refining catalysts, condensate active molecular membrane ultrafiltration combined multifunctional fiber adsorption technology, solid alkali evaporation alkaline condensate water treatment technology, ion membrane chelating resin tower regeneration wastewater reuse technology, furfural production water-saving equipment, and high-temperature, high-salinity, high-hardness heavy oil produced water treatment and reuse technology.
Compared to the 2023 edition, the petrochemical and chemical industry has reduced its water-saving technologies by 15 items. Among these, 13 are in the stage of promotion and application, 2 are in the stage of industrialized demonstration, and 2 are in the stage of research and development.
