The Fifth Number of the Third Round of Central Ecological and Environmental Protection Inspections Fully Launched

To fully practice the aspirations of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and its plenary sessions, and to thoroughly advance the thought on ecological conservation and the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping, in accordance with the provisions of the "Regulations on Ecological and Environmental Protection Supervision," the fifth number of the third round of central ecological and environmental protection inspections has been launched upon approval by the Party Central Committee and the State Council.
Eight Central Routine Ecological and Environmental Protection Inspection Teams were established to conduct routine inspections in Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei (three provinces/cities), as well as five central state-owned enterprises including China Huadian Corporation, China Energy Investment Corporation, Ansteel Group Corporation, China Baowu Steel Group Corporation and China National Coal Group Corporation. The inspection teams will be in place for one month.
Meanwhile, special inspections on the ecological and environmental protection of the Grand Canal will be conducted in eight provinces (municipalities), including Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Shandong, Henan, Anhui, Jiangsu and Zhejiang. During routine inspections in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei, the protection, inheritance, utilization of Grand Canal culture, and ecological and environmental conservation are prioritized. Two specialized inspection teams were formed, responsible for Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Anhui (three provinces), as well as Shandong and Henan (two provinces), with an on-site inspection period of approximately two weeks.
