Recently, Donghua Material Science announced the successful commissioning of its 20,000-ton-per-year aliphatic epoxy resin production facility. This milestone signifies that the company has become the world¡äs largest producer of aliphatic epoxy resin with the highest degree of industrial chain integration. By virtue of cutting-edge technologies and large-scale production capacity, it injects strong momentum into the field of high-end new materials.
Due to its unique properties such as high temperature resistance, excellent weather resistance and outstanding electrical insulation performance, aliphatic epoxy resin has long been a key matrix resin in fields including high-end composite materials, coatings, inks, electronic packaging and insulated electrical equipment. The commissioning of Yantai Donghua Material Science¡äs new aliphatic epoxy resin production facility not only ensures the stability and security of the supply chain, but also will reduce the procurement costs of downstream enterprises through economies of scale, enhance the international competitiveness of the entire industrial chain and promote the diversification of solutions.
It is reported that the products of this facility have reached the industry-leading level in key indicators such as purity, chromaticity and total chlorine content, which can fully meet the application requirements of demanding fields such as semiconductor packaging and display packaging. Meanwhile, in response to the needs of downstream customers in different application fields, the company provides three product series, which match customers¡ä requirements for different purity, viscosity and cost. The commissioning of this new production capacity will effectively advance the localization process of key downstream products such as high-end coatings, adhesives and high-performance epoxy composite materials. Additionally, it will provide raw material support for achieving green and solvent-free production in key VOC emission sectors in China, such as color steel plate manufacturing and tin can printing and making.
