It is reported that on November 21, Longi Green Energy, Sunpower Tech，Lianyungang Port and the People′s Government of Ganyu District, Lianyungang City officially signed the "Investment Agreement for the 180,000 Ton/Year Green Methanol Project in Ganyu, Lianyungang". The signing of the investment agreement by representatives of all parties marks the official entry of this benchmark project with both ecological benefits and industrial value into the implementation phase.

It is understood that the project adopts the oxygen-enriched pressurized fluidized bed biomass gasification technology jointly developed by Sunpower Tech and Longi Green Energy. The technology successfully completed pilot-scale testing in June 2025, with key performance indicators including operating pressure > 1.0MPa, daily processing capacity > 100 tons, near-zero tar content, continuous stable operation time exceeding 168 hours, and carbon conversion rate of 95%-98%. Having undergone test combustion with more than ten types of raw materials, the technology achieves advanced domestic and international levels in terms of adaptability to different biomass feedstocks and conversion efficiency, and has met industrialization conditions. It plans to build an 180,000 ton/year green methanol production line, with commissioning expected in July 2027. Leveraging the industrial foundation of Ganyu District′s Harbor-front Chemical Industrial Park and the advantages of port logistics, the project will establish an integrated industrial chain covering green energy production, storage, transportation and refueling, becoming a leading green methanol demonstration park in China.
