Data released by the Energy Bureau of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region on December 18 shows that the region′s green hydrogen output has maintained steady growth since the start of this year. As of December 15, 2025, the green hydrogen output under the direct green power connection model reached 11,265 tons, overfulfilling the annual target of 10,000 tons ahead of schedule. The output is four times the total green hydrogen production of 2024, ranking among the top in China.

This year, building on the existing 14 policies, the Energy Bureau of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region has further issued 5 policy measures covering the application, construction, acceptance and operation of wind-solar-to-hydrogen projects, accelerating the implementation of such projects. Meanwhile, the bureau has conducted multiple on-site inspections at project sites to address the urgent difficulties and concerns of enterprises.

At present, related projects have achieved stable production and operation. Other completed projects are undergoing commissioning and trial production to quickly convert production capacity into actual output. Under-construction projects are being pushed forward at an accelerated pace to support the steady growth of production capacity.
