CCAIA Attended the Global Vinyl Council Annual Conference Online

On November 19, the Global Vinyl Council (GVC) held its Annual Conference via video link. Representatives from relevant industry organizations across 20 countries and regions attended the event, including the Vinyl Institute (VI) of the United States, the Asia Pacific Vinyls Council (APVC), the China Chlor-Alkali Industry Association (CCAIA), the European Council of Vinyl Manufacturers (ECVM), the Argentine PVC Association, the Brazilian PVC Association, the Japan Vinyl Environmental Association, the Korea Chlor-Alkali Industry Association, and the Alkali Manufacturers Association of India (AMAI). Wang Lili, Director of the International Cooperation Working Committee of the CCAIA attended the conference. The conference was hosted by Mr. Ned Monroe, Executive Director of the GVC. It began with a review of the latest negotiation progress on the Global Plastics Treaty and an outlook on potential outcomes. Subsequently, representatives from various countries shared updates on their regional industry landscapes, covering operational rates of chlor-alkali plants, production capacity and output, supply-demand and consumption data, PVC recycling status, progress in sustainable development, relevant industry laws and regulations, as well as challenges encountered. Among these presentations, Wang Lili delivered insights into the operational status of China¡¯s PVC market, highlighting the latest developments in production, consumption, exports, and recycling initiatives. The conference concluded with a summary by Mr. Ned Monroe, Executive Director of the GVC.
