List of Group Standards for Product Carbon Footprint Accounting (3rd Batch) Released

Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, the National Development and Reform Commission, and the State Administration for Market Regulation jointly issued a circular, releasing the Recommended List of Group Standards for Industrial Product Carbon Footprint Accounting Rules (3rd Batch), which includes a total of 73 such group standards for industrial products.
The group standards on the list cover chemical-related fields including tires, synthetic ammonia, hydrogen, methanol, adipic acid hexamethylenediamine salt, gypsum and gypsum products, fiber-reinforced composite materials, graphite and graphite products, modified polypropylene plastics for automotive use, plastic packaging products, photovoltaic cells and silicon materials, and lithium-ion battery recycled materials.
It is reported that the list is formulated to accelerate the improvement of the management level of industrial product carbon footprint, establish and improve the carbon footprint management system, and promote the green and low-carbon transformation of the industrial sector. The list is finalized through recommendations by relevant standardization institutions, expert evaluation, and public announcement online, among other procedures.
