CCAIA¡¯s 17th Member Congress Kicked off in Beijing

On January 28, CCAIA¡¯s 17th Member Congress and the First Session of the 12th Council convened in Beijing. A total of 232 representatives from 156 members attended the meeting.
Zhang Wenlei, President of CCAIA, presided over the congress. Fu Xiangsheng, Deputy Party Secretary and Vice President of the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation, was present and delivered a speech. Relevant leaders from the Raw Materials Industry Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Bureau of Trade Remedy and Investigation of the Ministry of Commerce, and the Foreign Environmental Cooperation Center of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment also attended and addressed the meeting.
The congress heard the 11th Council¡äs work report titled "Upholding Integrity and Innovation and Forging Ahead to Promote the High-Quality Development of the Chlor-Alkali Industry". The representatives fully affirmed the report and spoke highly of the Association¡äs work over the past five years, and the report was adopted. The meeting also reviewed and approved the Association¡äs membership fee revenue and expenditure report and the updated Industry Self-Regulation Convention.
Through secret ballot, the congress deliberated and passed the proposal on amending the CCAIA¡äs articles of association and the proposal on adjusting the membership fee standards. It elected the 12th Council and Supervisory Board, with Zhang Wenlei as the 12th President; 21 officials including Zhang Peichao and Zhang Xin as Vice President of the 12th Council, with Zhang Peichao concurrently serving as the 12th Secretary-General and and Li Ming as the 12th Supervisor.
The congress reviewed and approved the Measures for the Administration of Honorary Positions and the Salary Management System of the Association. It appointed Li Ming and Luo Yun as Honorary President of the 12th Council, and Zhang Yehui as Director of the 12th Expert Committee. Additionally, it passed proposals on establishing and renaming branch organizations, appointing the Director and Deputy Director of the Expert Committee, appointing Deputy Secretary-General and heads of internal institutions, and authorizing the Secretariat to develop and adjust membership.
During the congress, a special report meeting on the "15th Five-Year Plan" high-quality development of the chlor-alkali industry was also organized.
