Positive Progress Made in the Development of Green and Environmental Protection Industry in Gansu Province

It was learned from a recent press conference held by the Department of Ecology and Environment of Gansu Province that during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, as the department responsible for overseeing the province¡äs green and environmental protection (including green mines) industrial chain, the department has collaborated with relevant authorities to continuously deepen the chain-length system for industrial chains, elevating industrial chain development to a new level and achieving new breakthroughs in investment promotion. This has provided strong support for the green and low-carbon transformation of the province¡äs economic and social development.

The Department of Ecology and Environment of Gansu Province has steadily improved institutional mechanisms, established and refined a joint conference system, and formulated annual work plans for industrial chain development and investment promotion to clarify goals and pathways. Through regular scheduling, special research, and government-enterprise seminars, an efficient working pattern featuring inter-departmental coordination and collaboration between higher and lower levels has taken shape.

The scale and strength of the industry have been continuously enhanced. The output value of the industrial chain is expected to reach 11.6 billion yuan in 2025, representing a substantial increase. A total of 5 leading chain enterprises has been fostered, among which 2 were selected by the provincial government as outstanding leading chain enterprises of the province¡äs industrial chains, expanding the team of major market players.

Targeted and efficient investment promotion has been carried out£¬ and a database of target enterprises and a project list have been established. Precise matchmaking has been conducted through chain-leading investment missions, exhibition promotions and small-team delegations, successfully attracting a number of leading enterprises. In 2025, 13 projects were signed collectively, with a total agreed investment of 4.428 billion yuan.

The business environment has been optimized and improved. Efforts have been made to ensure preliminary factor support and follow-up services for key investment projects, minimize the time required for environmental impact assessment approval, and facilitate early commencement and production of enterprises. A total of 773 major provincial-level projects has been supported for smooth implementation. Active efforts have been made to secure national pilot programs for the Ecological Environment-Oriented Development (EOD) model and policy support for climate financing, providing strong green financial support for project implementation.
