It was learned at the Jiangxi Provincial Conference on Improving Quality and Efficiency of the New Energy Industry that in 2025, the province¡äs new energy industry achieved operating revenue of nearly 400 billion yuan, becoming the fourth-largest industry in the province after electronic information, non-ferrous metals, and equipment manufacturing. It is transitioning from a strategic emerging industry to an emerging pillar industry.
In recent years, Jiangxi¡äs new energy industry has maintained sound development momentum, forming a development pattern dominated by the lithium battery and photovoltaic industries, with coordinated innovation in new-type energy storage, wind power, hydrogen energy and other fields. Amid fluctuating industry development, the province¡äs new energy industry achieved growth in 2025, with operating revenue reaching 396.85 billion yuan. Among them, the lithium battery industry crossed the 200-billion-yuan mark, reaching 210.43 billion yuan; the photovoltaic industry generated 119.05 billion yuan in operating revenue, with photovoltaic module shipments ranking among the world¡äs leading levels. New breakthroughs were made in the development of new-type energy storage, solid-state batteries, hydrogen energy, sodium batteries and other fields.
Against the backdrop of profound adjustments in the global energy landscape and steady progress toward the "dual carbon" goals, the new energy industry will enter a new stage of full market-oriented development during the 15th Five-Year Plan period, ushering in a strategic opportunity period for scale expansion and quality improvement. Jiangxi Province will anchor the overall goal of building the new energy industry into an emerging pillar industry, target weak links in leading industries such as lithium batteries and photovoltaics to extend, supplement and strengthen the industrial chains, and encourage enterprises to vigorously carry out intelligent transformation, digital upgrading and green renovation based on existing development foundations.
