From April 15 to 17, the 2026 Chlor-Alkali Industry Development Conference kicked off in Kunming, with more than 320 representatives from the chlor-alkali industry and its upstream and downstream sectors in attendance. The conference featured a total of 26 keynote speeches, with Zhang Wenlei, President of CCAIA, delivering the opening address. Experts from the State Information Center gave a special report on the analysis and outlook of domestic and international macroeconomic conditions. CCAIA presented a thematic report on the current economic operation and outlook of China′s chlor-alkali industry. Calcium Carbide Industry Association of China and the China Salt Association respectively provided insights into the current status and prospects of the upstream calcium carbide and salt industries. The conference also heard special reports on market analysis of caustic soda, polyvinyl chloride, chlorine-consuming products, as well as presentations on new technologies, equipment and products serving the chlor-alkali industry.
