On April 15, the Working Meeting of CCAIA’s Special Committee on Green Energy kicked off in Kunming, attended by more than 60 representatives from key chlor-alkali manufacturers and new energy industry chain enterprises. The meeting was presided over by Zhang Peichao, Vice President and Secretary-General. Relevant leaders and responsible persons from Xinjiang Zhongtai, Shaanxi Beiyuan, Befar Group, Yibin Tianyuan and Bohua Development exchanged views on the construction and application of their enterprises′ green energy projects as well as their future development plans. Wang Li, Director of the Industry Research Department of CCAIA, reported on the current status of green energy application in the industry and interpreted relevant policies. Attending representatives from Wanhua Chemical, Jintai Chlor-Alkali, Chint Electric, Envision Energy, LONGi Cente, Jiangsu Pandong and Guangdong Tsingneng exchanged views on the current status of green energy development and application as well as problems in industry practices, and put forward opinions and suggestions on the next work of the Special Committee on Green Energy of the Association. The meeting elected Shaanxi Beiyuan, Bohua Development, Befar Group and Yibin Tianyuan as deputy director units of the Special Committee. In his concluding speech, CCAIA’s President Zhang Wenlei, emphasized the importance of the work of the Special Committee on Green Energy, pointing out that the Special Committee would gather the joint efforts of producers and green energy service enterprises by building a sound communication and exchange platform, doing a good job in policy publicity and interpretation, timely reflecting enterprises′ demands, and organizing key technical research on the application of green energy technologies in the chlor-alkali industry, so as to jointly promote the green and low-carbon transformation and development of the energy structure of the chlor-alkali industry.
