On April 28, China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation (CPCIF) held the 2026 Petrochemical Industry Development Conference in Nanning, Guangxi. The conference was presided over by Zhao Jungui, Vice President and Secretary-General of CPCIF. CPCIF’s President Li Yunpeng and Director of the Petrochemical and Chemical Division of the Raw Materials Industry Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology Zhang Xuwu delivered speeches respectively. Ling Yiqun, Vice President of CPCIF, released the Development Guidelines for the Petroleum and Chemical Industry during the 15th Five-Year Plan Period, and its Vice President Sun Weishan issued the Research Report on the List of Petrochemical and Chemical Products Facing Oversupply Risks. Also, high-level closed-door meetings, the 15th Five-Year Plan Development Seminar, Dual-Carbon Development Forum, New Materials Development Forum, Green Petrochemical Forum, Coal Chemical Industry Development Forum, Future Industry Development Forum and other activities were held on the sidelines of the conference. Zhang Wenlei, President of China Chlor Alkali Industry Association, attended the conference and delivered a special report interpreting the Development Guidelines for the Chlor-Alkali Industry during the 15th Five-Year Plan Period.
