Indonesia Caustic Soda/EDC Project Signing

On March 20th, the signing ceremony of Indonesia CAA-1¡¯s annual output of 420,000 tons of caustic soda and 500,000 tons of ethylene dichloride (EDC) project, which was undertaken by China Chengda Engineering Co.,Ltd in the EPC general contracting mode, was successfully held at the headquarters of Balido Group in Indonesia. Agus, General Manager of Balido Group, Erwin, General Manager of Chandra Company, and Liu Yiheng, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of China Chengda Engineering Co.,Ltd, attended the signing ceremony.
This project is another breakthrough of Chengda company in the traditional market of Indonesia. It is also the first large-scale caustic soda + EDC complex project undertaken by a Chinese engineering company overseas, achieving a new breakthrough in Chengda¡äs overseas products. It is also another major measure for Chengda to actively implement the national ¡®Belt and Road¡¯ initiative. After the completion of the project, it will become the world¡äs largest single-line caustic soda plant and the largest high-low temperature oxychlorination EDC plant in Southeast Asia, fully reflecting Chengda¡äs leading position in the domestic and foreign chlor-alkali engineering market.
