Project construction content:
The total investment for this renovation and expansion project is 355.19 million yuan, with the construction of an annual capacity of 160,000 tons of methane chloride equipment, an annual capacity of 15,000 tons of tetrachloroethylene equipment, and a 10t/h liquid chlorine packaging.
Project background:
The existing engineering projects in Huanyang include 100,000 tons/year of epoxy chloropropane, 300,000 tons/year of epoxy resin, 540,000 tons/year of high salt wastewater treatment equipment, 240,000 tons/year of ion membrane electrolysis equipment, and 100,000 tons/year of sodium hypochlorite equipment. The caustic soda produced is reused in the epoxy resin equipment and HCl is reused in the epoxy chloropropane production equipment.
In the context of construction of 800,000 tons/year MDI and 300,000 tons/year TDI projects by neighboring company Wanhua Chemical (Fujian) Isocyanate Co., Ltd., Fujian Huanyang New Materials Co., Ltd. has reached an agreement with Wanhua Chemical (Fujian) to purchase and sell hydrogen chloride. After the production of Wanhua Chemical (Fujian) MDI project, the by-product hydrogen chloride (about 200,000 tons/year) will be supplied to Fujian Huanyang New Materials Co., Ltd. through pipelines as feedstock for the epichlorohydrin unit. As a result, the ion membrane caustic soda unit of Fujian Huanyang New Materials Co., Ltd. will have approximately 170,000 tons/year of surplus chlorine gas as feedstock for the 160,000 tons/year methane chloride unit and 15,000 tons of tetrachloroethylene unit, achieving clean production and circular economy.
Fujian Huanyang New Materials Co., Ltd., formerly known as Fuzhou Kelin Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd., was established in November 2016 and renamed Fujian Huanyang New Materials Co., Ltd. in December 2021, with a registered capital increased to 630 million yuan. This technology solves the global issue of the inability to biochemical treat wastewater, becoming the first domestic demonstration device for the clean production of epoxy resin through the recycling and comprehensive utilization of wastewater.
