The First Facilities for Shenghong New Materials Project are about to be Delivered in Mid-March

Recently, it was learned from the People¡äs Government of Lianyungang that the first facilities for the Shenghong Chemical New Materials Project will be delivered by mid-March.
According to Gao Yunfei, Manager of the New Materials Project Management Department of Shenghong Chemical, the design, procurement and construction of all device areas of the Project will be carried out simultaneously in a bid to ensure the project schedule and construction quality. Among them, the C5 and C9 devices will be delivered in the middle of the month, the epoxy propane/styrene device will be delivered in June this year, and the EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer) I device will be delivered in mid-September this year.
The Shenghong Chemical¡äs new material construction project has a total investment of 21.6 billion yuan, covering a total area of approximately 2367 acres. It focuses on constructing projects with an annual production capacity of 700,000 tons of EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer), 50,000 tons of high-end copolymer new materials, epoxy propane and polyols, public works and auxiliary facilities. As a key project of Shenghong Petrochemical Industry Group to promote the strategic transformation of new energy and new materials, it also a major project in Jiangsu Province in 2022.
Carbon five and carbon nine are valuable resources for the comprehensive utilization of new chemical materials. In recent years, as major research institutes and manufacturers in China have been continuously developing efficient and innovative processes, the utilization of C5 and C9 resources is moving towards refinement, diversification, and high-end development.
In addition, it is worth noted that after the EVA equipment of Shenghong New Materials Project is fully put into operation, Shenghong Group will rank first in the world in terms of total EVA production capacity.
"As of now, the entire project has gone through over 71% of the cumulative progress." Gao Yunfei introduced, "In order to strive for rapid production, we actively mobilize the resources and forces of the entire company to ensure on-site construction. To jumpstart the project progress, during this year¡äs Chinese Lunar New Year, most employees worked on the front line, fully committed to ensuring a good start. Currently, more than 96% of the concrete pouring for civil engineering foundations and structures has been completed."
