On April 29, Huafon Group kicked off the construction of its 1.38 million tons of functional new materials integrated industrial chain project in Baitao Industrial Park in Fuling.

This project is a key project of Huafon Group relying on the resource advantages of Fuling shale gas to strengthen, extend, and complement the polyurethane and polyamide new material industry chain. The project plans to invest 12 billion yuan, and once it is put into production, it can achieve an annual output value of 20 billion yuan. The project will build a 2x90,000 tons/year acetylene plant, a 2x2x260,000 tons/year formaldehyde plant, a 2x250,000 tons/year 1,4-butanediol plant (BDO), a 2x120,000 tons/year PTMEG plant, a 600,000 tons/year ammonia synthesis plant, and supporting facilities.

Huafon Chongqing Base is an industrial base invested and constructed by Huafon Group, a top 500 enterprise in China, in Baitao Industrial Park, Fuling. It has successively built 21 industrial projects, and 9 independent legal entity companies such as Huafon Chemical, Huafon Spandex, Huafon Aluminum, Huafon New Materials, and Huafon Polyamide have been settled. It is the world′s largest adipic acid producer and the world′s largest spandex production base with a single unit. The output value of the base exceeded 33 billion yuan in 2023.
