On February 5th, CCAIA’s Standardization Working Committee virtually organized a meeting, which was attended by Zhang Xin, Vice President of CCAIA, Zhang Shoute, Vice Secretary General, Fan Hongbo, Secretary General of the Standardization Committee, Vice President of the Standardization Committee and other members.

While Secretary General Fan Hongbo provided an useful insight into the first 16 group standard project proposals solicited in 2024, the meeting focused on the importance, coverage, and key content of 16 standards, including "Technical Specification for Application Verification of Ionic Membrane Caustic Soda with Waste Salt as Feedstocks", "Accounting Method for Water and Waste Residue of Chlorohydrin-based ECH", and "Accounting Method for Water and Waste Residue of Chlorohydrin-based Propylene Epoxide".

The establishment of these standards will provide important technical support for the government and enterprises to carry out related work around the 40% waste salt adulteration ratio and the elimination of chlorohydrin-based calcium saponification process. This meeting reviewed and approved project proposals for 15 standards, and made arrangements and deployments for the next steps of work.
