Shaanxi Weihua Group will Build a New Coal Chemical Project
2024-3-1
Recently, Zhao Qiang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of Shaanxi Weihua Group, and his delegation visited the Luochuan Industrial Park to investigate the site selection and implementation of coal-based chemical new materials projects.
At the meeting, Zhao Qiang introduced the development roadmap of Weihua Group and the overview of the proposed investment project. The project covers an area of about 2000 acres, with an estimated investment of about 20 billion yuan for planned new coal-based chemical and new materials. Both parties had in-depth discussions on project details and reached a preliminary intention to cooperate.
As Shaanxi Weihe Coal Chemical Group Co., Ltd. is a backbone enterprise in the coal chemical sector of Shaanxi Coal Chemical Group, its main products have an annual production capacity of 300,000 tons of synthetic ammonia, 520,000 tons of urea, 600,000 tons of methanol, 300,000 tons of ethylene glycol, and 110,000 tons of dimethyl ether. It currently has two production bases in Weinan and Binzhou.
The leading industry of Luochuan Industrial Park is petrochemical industry, with a focus on developing three types of petrochemical industries: integrated refining chemicals, high-end specialized chemicals, and new chemical materials. At present, projects such as the integrated transformation and upgrading of 10 million tons/year oil refining chemicals and a million cubic meter oil reserve have been located here. By 2030, the total investment in the park is planned to exceed 78 billion yuan.
With the sustained and rapid growth of China¡äs national economy, the demand for fuel and petrochemical products is also constantly increasing. To get petroleum substitutes through new coal chemical industries has become an important way to solve the shortage of oil and gas resources and achieve energy supply security.
To produce chemical products that replace petroleum taking coal as raw material and develop a new integrated coal energy chemical industry will play an important role in the sustainable utilization of energy in China, representing the dominant trend for the next two decades. The industrialization of this technology is of great significance for extending the coal industry chain and improving the construction of new industries in coal producing areas.
