Recently, as the market price of liquid chlorine in Inner Mongolia decreased, the mainstream ex-factory price of liquid chlorine was 1 yuan/ton. The high operating load of caustic soda producers in Inner Mongolia contributed to sufficient supplies of liquid chlorine. While the local liquid chlorine is mainly used by producers themselves for PVC production, a small amount of commercial chlorine is supplied to the downstream manufacturers in local and surrounding areas. Recently, due to environmental protection supervision and safety inspection, the local main chlorine consumption downstream producers operated at a relatively low run rate, thus reducing the demand for liquid chlorine. Affected by the low price in North China, these producers generally paid for the freight charges at 200-300 yuan/ton this week.
