Alumina Production in South America Declined Year-on-Year in 2022

According to the data published by the International Aluminum Institute (IAI), in December 2022, the alumina output in South America grew 4.83% month-on-month to 1.042 million tons. In the whole year of 2022, the alumina production reached 11.634 million tons in South America. Although the output increased in the second half of 2022, it was still 3.94% down from 12.111 million tons month on month.
