Recently, Jinneng Technology stated on an interactive platform that the 2nd phase of its new material and hydrogen energy comprehensive utilization project is currently in the equipment debugging stage and is expected to be put into operation in March or April this year.

On December 26, 2023, the groundbreaking ceremony for Jinneng Technology′s new material and hydrogen energy comprehensive utilization project was held in Dongjiakou Economic Zone, Qingdao West Coast New Area. The total investment is 20.3 billion yuan. The project mainly consists of three major sections: high-performance polypropylene, acrylonitrile co-production of MMA, and comprehensive utilization of clean hydrogen energy. It includes the construction of a 900,000 tons/year propane dehydrogenation and 860,000 tons/year green carbon black recycling project, a 2.45 million tons/year high-performance polypropylene project, a 900,000 tons/year propane dehydrogenation co-production of 260,000 tons/year acrylonitrile and 100,000 tons/year MMA project, as well as a raw material storage project.

The project adopts the most advanced production processes and technologies from Lummus in the United States and Basell in Italy, with the characteristics of green, low-carbon, circular intelligence. Among them, the propane dehydrogenation and polypropylene design monomer facilities will possess the top technology and scale in the world.
