  Two Calcium Carbide Projects in Siping Expected to Undergo Trial Production in April 2024

There are two chemical parks in Siping City, Shuangliao Economic Development Zone Chemical Park and Siping New Development Zone Ecological Chemical Park. In terms of the distribution of cities, there are 12 chemical industrial parks in the province, with two in Siping City. The number of industrial parks ranks first alongside Jilin, Yanbian, and Songyuan. From the perspective of safety risk assessment level, there are a total of 4 chemical parks in the province that meet the D-level standard, of which 2 are in Siping City, with the highest number of D-level parks in the province. From the perspective of industrial project construction, the Shuangliao Economic Development Zone Chemical Industry Park is built to support the basic chemical industry for chlor alkali consumption, with a focus on promoting 7 downstream chlor alkali industry chain projects, with a cumulative completed investment of 1.9 billion yuan. Among them, the Yonglin Chemical and Tianwei Electrochemical Calcium Carbide projects are expected to undergo trial production in April 2024. The Ecological Chemical Industrial Park in Siping New Development Zone works for the extension, supplementation, and reinforcemnet of the fine chemical industry, with a focus on promoting 9 projects in the fine chemical industry chain. A total investment of 14.155 billion yuan has been completed, including the Lishu Wind Pipe Green Hydrogen Methanol Project and Aviation Kerosene Project, which have been signed by negotiation, and are expected to be launched this year.
