  China: Chinalco is expected to increase net profit of about 85% for 2016

Chinalco released an announcement on January 19th, showed that, according to the preliminary estimates of the company′s financial department, the company is expected to achieve a total profit of about 1 billion 600 million yuan for the Yr. 2016, compared with the same period last year, will increase by about 7.3 times; net profit attributable to shareholders of listed companies of about 380 million yuan, compared with the same period last year, will increase by about 85%. Net profit attributable to shareholders of listed companies over the same period last year was 206 million 320 thousand yuan, earnings per share of RMB 0.01 yuan.

Analysis of the industry insiders, Chinalco is the only alumina self-sufficiency rate of over 100% of the aluminum industry enterprises in A shares. The company has 16 million tons of alumina production capacity and capacity of electrolytic aluminum production capacity of 4 million 500 thousand tons, of which bauxite self-sufficiency rate of up to 55%, alumina self-sufficiency rate of more than 200%, nearly half of the output for sale. ; from the demand side, the price of aluminum electrolytic aluminum production to pick up the background, and increase the production of new gradually released, supply and demand mismatch in alumina industry, in 2017 the supply and demand mismatch structure persists, especially in the first half, further influence the pattern of supply and demand, the price of alumina will continue to be supported.
